What is in our library

Welcome to our library - Whare Pukapuka

(Our Library stocks approximately 9,600 books)

This particular time we are celebrating Maori Language week
hence these lovely posters on our door.

We have a very brief history of what has happened to the library since
 the Canterbury Earthquake.

In our lovely Reading Nook we have a wall dedicated to Students and Staff
affiliated with other countries.

We also display a few Staff photos for everyone to look and perhaps
giggle over.

We proudly display our School Values

Students love to see pictures of Staff reading to classes in the library.

We have a Season Tree which students decorate each Season.

Our display table which invites Students to participate and create.
This display is about the Maori Myth, Battle of the Mountains and the Students
have been busy making paper mountains.

Here is our Author/Topic display area. Because this is Maori Language week we are
currently displaying books written in Te Reo as well as Te reo dictionaries etc.

Our lovely Reading Nook

Our amazing outdoor library deck

Another display area is the library curtains.
Last Term it was full of stars for Matariki that the Students had made.
Now it is Spring the Students have made beautiful daffodils.

A sign post in case anyone gets lost.

Don't know what to read? on the issues desk are covers of Senior Books that
Anne has read and recommends.

Our school house colours and names.

And this is a one aspect of our library.
